Responsibilities:
Works under general supervision in interviewing incoming patients or representatives to obtain and record necessary information for registrationDistributes copies to appropriate departmentsObtains signed statements and consentsEnsures precertification has been obtained for outpatient services when applicableProvides relief to switchboard operators and lobby managers
Qualifications:
Proficient typing skillsAbove average spelling ability, good communication skills and use of good judgementKnowledge of medical terminology and computer experience is preferredThe above statements are intended to describe the functions and related requirements of persons assigned to this job.
