Overview:
The Patient Transportation Driver's primary responsibility is to safely transport patients of Henry Community Health to and from medical appointments within the health system as determined by need.
Responsibilities:
Drive provided van in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the service areaPerform pre/post trip vehicle inspections as requiredStop at designated points to load and unload passengersAssist in the boarding of passengers using wheelchairs or other mobility aids and properly secure wheelchairs and scootersNotify dispatch of deviations, overload, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, or mechanical/electrical troubleAdvise passengers of rules and regulations when necessaryAbility to assist with lifting greater than 50lbsProactively review assigned trips on a tablet or other backup mechanism in order to plan daily schedule and ensure members can be transported to and from destinations on time according to appointment schedule Maintain a level of professionalism with members according to the HCH Way.
This includes being courteous, displaying a positive attitude, communicating professionally, and maintaining professional attire
Qualifications:
The position requires the ability to safely transport patients from their home to a physician office for appointmentsA strong focus on customer service and compassion is requiredA general familiarity with GPS and mobile apps is requiredA current valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record is requiredPrevious experience with customer service and transporting patients is preferredWorking Hours :
