Manufacturing Engineer Assistant Manager

We have an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineering Assistant Manager?in our New Castle, Indiana manufacturing facility.?
Good understanding of operations and engineering practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment. Good written, verbal, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Previous manufacturing/engineering experience is preferred.

  • Identify equipment/facility requirements for process improvements and minor/major model changes.

  • Create request for quotes and work with suppliers to achieve cost, quality, and timing requirements.

  • Collect and maintain accurate data related cycle time, line balance, manpower requirement, downtime/efficiency, and other production characteristics.

  • Ensures dependable cost estimates and feasibility studies are prepared to guide management in decision making strategies.

  • Prepare/present presentations to internal management, customer, and suppliers for evaluation.

  • Development of short/long range plans for layout changes, increased production, ergonomic improvements, and the incorporation of new/improved processes.

  • Runoff equipment at suppliers and confirm equipment specification are met prior to shipping.

  • Support timely completion of projects involving various engineering changes, staffing, contractors, vendors, and other related services.

  • Provide support during technical discussions with customers and suppliers.

  • Propose projects aimed at substantial improvements in cost, quality, efficiency, and safety.

  • Investigate and evaluate new equipment and processes on the market.

  • Support development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.

  • Ability to establish and execute a monthly plan.

  • Will ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.

  • Ensure safe operations.

  • All other duties as assigned


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
