Primary Responsibilities
Review and approve or deny all quotes generated by branch and dealer service technicians. Communicate and approve or deny major repairs prior to work being performed. Issue POs and approve invoices. Schedule and review all planned maintenance for the rental fleet.
Determine and record all damage to rental units resulting from customer misuse and abuse. Communicate with customer in a timely manner on all invoices relating to misuse or abuse. Approve all rental work orders for customer misuse and abuse.
Direct and manage shop service technicians, and administrative personnel. Recruit, select, train, motivate and counsel team. Train and oversee technicians in proper safety practices in servicing rental and used equipment. Review technicians' paperwork and timecards. Perform duties such as creating/revising job descriptions, conducting Talent Development discussion sessions, rating performance, establishing/tracking goals and completing annual wage reviews. Responsible for coaching, motivating, mentoring, and developing direct reports to successfully take on additional responsibilities.
Follow set procedures for all lease returns. Work with Crown Credit to ensure lease return procedures are being followed. Communicate with Crown Credit personnel and branch management team on all returns and lease opportunities.
Collaborate with appropriate management on all used equipment rebuilds with regards to selection and completion of work and scheduling.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Five plus years of experience experience.
Good leadership skills required.
Good communication, interpersonal and motivational skills needed.
Technical and repair knowledge desired.
Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
